Principal's Profile

Dr Veronica Ibitola MAKINDE (Nee Olujuyigbe) was born in the mid 60s and had her elementary school at St. Theresa's Catholic Primary School Akure. She proceeded to Anglican Grammar School Igbara Oke for her Secondary Education.

Dr. Makinde can be tagged "a complete teacher" as she attended all forms of Teacher Education Programme and now  holds a doctorate degree (Ph. D) in Guidance and Counselling. She has also displayed her teaching talents in virtually all levels of educational system (Primary - University). She started her Academic Career as a Graduate Assistant at the College of Education Ikere Ekiti in 1998 and currently Prima Qualified for the post of Chief Lecturer.

Dr. Makinde, a prolific writer has published many articles in reputable Journals at Local, National and International levels. She belong to many Professional bodies such as Counselling Association of Nigeria (CASSON), National Association of Curriculum Theorist (NACT), Colleges of Education Academic Staff Association (COEASU), Teachers Registration Council (TRCN) and Women in Colleges of Education (WICE). And she is currently the Chairperson of WICE Ikere Ekiti Chapter.

Dr. Ibitola Makinde's contribution to the College Community has stand her out as a seasoned administrator. She has served the college in many capacities such as:

Dr Makinde is a seasoned educationist who  believes strongly in the holistic education of the total child, a mother per excellence, and a disciplinarian to the core. She is married with children.
